Our next adventure...
In December I will leave for Myanmar on a mission trip and Vicky will join me in January for two weeks.
We are not sure if God is wanting Myanmar to be a place where He wants us to serve long term, but He has been placing it on our hearts and seems to be leading us in that direction. Please pray for our family while we are waiting on the Lord to guide us.
Myanmar is one of the world’s most isolated countries, around 90% of their population are Devout Buddhist, less than 1% are Christians. Being Buddhist they believe that any suffering they experience in this life is a result of what they have done in a past life. The people are intimidated by their government and the government holds that control over them. Most children end up working at a young age because their parents can’t afford to send them to school. They are people without hope and they are in need of Jesus and His saving grace. Here are some things our team will be doing in Myanmar on our mission trip: Working in orphanages, Bible teaching at the Bible College, VBS, crafts, songs, sports, games, construction, medical support and human trafficking support groups.
